The Author

Nicholas P. Leonesystems, grief, and the mathematics of a correct failure

Originally from the streets of Brooklyn, he now writes from rural New Mexico. He is not a career novelist. He is a homelab systems architect based in New Mexico. His fiction is steeped in engineered environments: racks, panels, telemetry, and the quiet rooms we build when the noise stops being survivable.

The books treat fate as engineering. Redundant systems that still fail. Instructions that outlive the people who wrote them. Care encoded into architecture, then obeyed too literally. Fiction about grief as architecture, engineering as character, and the moment a correct system reaches the wrong human conclusion.

The fear lives in the gap between what the system can see and what the people inside it are actually asking for.

His work is published under A Fiendish Publishing Co., a small imprint dedicated to technically grounded, emotionally precise, speculative fiction.
